Let’s Play XCOM Enemy Unknown Episode 17

In my let’s play of XCOM Enemy Unknown episode 17 the RPG Designer squad is sent to China to stop some alien abductions. XCOM will also be rewarded with 4 engineers upon succesfully completing this mission.

The Squad for Operation Blinding Father are Col. Stolze, Col. Petersen, Maj. Hardy, Lt. Wick, Capt. Laws, and Rk. Richard. The team is dropped on the gas station map where, in the beginning of the series, Gary Gygax fell to the aliens.

Early on in the mission the squad is beset by a new alien contraption they’ve never seen before. Some sort of flying saucer accompanied by a small drone. Nothing Greg can’t handle with a rocket though. It turns out to be called a Cyberdisk and it explodes when it dies. Something to keep in mind for the future.

Up next are a bunch a Mutons. Greg gets to shoot more rockets so he’s a happy camper. After that even more Mutons show up on the roof. The squad is handling their business but 3 Mutons attack from the other side of the building and things start getting a bit hairy.
