In my let’s play of XCOM Enemy Unknown episode 12 the RPG Designer Squad is sent to Japan to investigate the site of a crashed UFO that we shot down in the previous episode. Reporting for active duty on Operation Secret Palace are Cpt. Petersen, Cpl. Stevens, Sq. Germain, Sq. Tobin, Rk. Jacquays, and Rk. Glancy.
Under the cover of a number of trees the squad approaches the UFO and fights off Sectoids, Floaters, and the Outsider which earned us a number of promotions.
Back at the base we excavate 2 more area’s and launch a satellite over Brazil. We then order an interceptor to protect South America. The research department finishes the Beam Weapons research project and start looking into the Arc Thrower to be able to capture aliens.
A bit of time passes and the Dr. Vahlen completes the Arc Thrower research as well. The next research project will be Experimental Warfare. The engineering department is immediately commissioned to build an Arc Thrower for our next mission.
Unfortunately we encountered a UFO contact that we couldn’t take down. This will reflect poorly on our Council Report for sure! Dr. Vahlen in the meanwhile is cracking one research subject after another as she completes Experimental Warfare which unlocks the Foundry. She is then tasked to study the Alien Nav Computer.
Dr. Chen is able to complete a new Satellite Uplink facility, just as a new mission from the Council arrives.
